View of the State Capitol in Phoenix, Arizona. The building was constructed in 1899 to house the Territorial Government. In 1910, it was the site of the Constitution Convention that led to Arizona's statehood two years later. State officials moved to adjacent buildings in 1974, and today the Capitol serves as a museum. An ambitious restoration effort is currently underway. |
